Overview
Chip Runner is a poker and blackjack chip tracking application for home games. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Information We Collect
Display Names
When you create or join a game, you provide a display name of your choosing. This name is shared in real time with the other players at your table. It is not saved on our servers.
Game Data
Game information including player names, chip counts, and room codes is passed in real time between the phones at your table to enable multiplayer. It is not saved in a database or stored on our servers. A game played on a single phone stays on that phone, and saved games and past results are kept on your own device.
Personal Information
In the App, we do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, device identifiers, or any information that can be used to personally identify you. No account creation is required.
Advertising
The App displays ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device and usage data to serve relevant ads per their own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. On iOS you will be prompted to allow or deny ad tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised. An optional in-app purchase removes ads.
How We Use Your Data
Data is used solely to provide real-time multiplayer game functionality. We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the game.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your data with third parties except as required to provide the service. Real-time messaging between phones is provided by Supabase (supabase.com/privacy). Once a day the App also sends Supabase one small request that contains no personal information, to keep the service running.
Data Retention
We do not keep game data on our servers. Information saved on your device (such as your name, saved games and past results) stays on your device until you delete the App.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
This Website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. If you send a message through the Support page, the name, email address, and message you enter are stored by our website host, Netlify, and are used only to reply to you. Netlify may also keep standard server logs.
